Using RegisCareers

Searching, applying, saving, alerts and how replies work.

What is RegisCareers and who is it for?

RegisCareers is a jobs, internships and freelance work board for India, run by RegisCorp Consultancy LLP from Kota, Rajasthan. It is for job seekers of every field, from a first job in a small town to a freelance project in a metro, and for companies that want to hire people who actually reply. Companies are checked by a hiring desk, fake openings are taken down, and employers are expected to answer every applicant.

Is it free to search and apply for jobs?

Yes. You can browse every opening without an account. You create a free account to apply, save openings, get email alerts and be found by employers. You should never be asked to pay to apply, to get an interview or to receive an offer letter.

Why do I need an account to apply?

An account lets you see where each application stands and lets the employer reply to you in one place, instead of your resume disappearing into an email inbox. It also stops fake or repeated applications, so real candidates are seen sooner. You can read every opening and company page before you sign up.

How do I apply for a job, internship or freelance project?

Open the opening, read the must-have and good-to-have sections, then press Apply. Some employers add a short form with their own questions. Your resume and profile go with the application. After that, the status of each application shows under Applications in your account, and the employer's reply appears there too.

What does the reply badge on a company mean?

The badge, for example Replies to 80%, shows how many of the people who applied to that employer in the last 90 days got a real answer: shortlisted, interview, offer, hired, or not taken forward. Merely opening an application does not count as a reply. A high rate means applying is worth your time. A company with no history yet shows no badge, so new employers are not marked down for being new.

What does a verified company mean?

A verified company has been checked by the RegisCorp hiring desk. Verification is a safety check, not a guarantee of a job or a salary, so you should still read the opening carefully and never pay anyone. Use the Verified companies only filter on the job board to see these employers first.

Verified companies

Can I get an email when a job that matches my search is posted?

Yes. Search for the kind of work you want, then press Email me new openings like this. You get an email only when something new matches, and every email has a link to stop it. Alerts use your keywords, city, state, type, work style, fresher and verified settings. The newer filters for job type, experience and pay shown are not part of alerts yet.

How do I filter jobs by experience, job type, pay and work from home?

On the job board, use the filter bar under the search box. You can filter by work style (on-site, hybrid or remote), state, freshers welcome, how recently the job was posted, sort by highest pay, verified companies only, job type (full time, part time or contract), the years of experience you have, and whether the pay is shown. Each filter becomes a chip you can remove with one click.

Open the job board

Can I find work from home and remote jobs?

Yes. Choose Remote under Work style on the job board, or use the Work from home shortcut on the home page. Be extra careful with remote offers that promise high pay for very easy work, because they are the most copied by scammers.

Remote jobs

What is Offers, and how do companies find me?

Offers lets you post what you can do, such as a skill, a service or the kind of internship you want. Verified companies can then write to you directly. You choose whether your profile is public, so you stay in control of who sees it.

Fake jobs and staying safe

How to spot a scam, what never to share and where to report.

Should I ever pay money to get a job?

No. A real employer pays you; you do not pay them. Fees for registration, training, a laptop or kit, a security deposit or a refundable amount are the most common sign of a job scam. If anyone asks, stop replying and report the opening on RegisCareers using the Report button.

Run the offer check

Where do I report a job scam or online fraud in India?

Call the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930, which is available 24 hours a day, or report on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in. If you have lost money, report it as soon as you can, because early reports help investigators collect evidence before it is lost. If the fake offer was on RegisCareers, also use the Report button on that opening so our hiring desk can remove it.

Which documents should I not share before I have a signed offer?

Do not share Aadhaar, PAN, bank account or card details, OTPs or passwords until you have a signed offer letter from a company you have verified through its own website. Real employers collect identity and bank details at joining, not at the first call. Never share an OTP with anyone, for any reason.

How can I check that a company and its opening are real?

Check that the same opening is on the company's own website or official LinkedIn page, call the phone number printed on the company's official website, look for the company name on its email domain rather than a free address, and ask for a real interview on video or in person. A recruiter who refuses every call and only uses a personal WhatsApp or Telegram chat is a warning sign.

How to spot a fake job offer

What are the most common signs of a fake job offer?

A request for money, an offer without any interview, very high pay for easy work such as liking posts or typing, a push to decide today or keep it secret, an offer letter with spelling mistakes or no named signatory, and contact only through a personal messaging chat. Any one of these deserves a pause; several together mean you should walk away.

Use the offer check tool

What if a job asks me to receive money in my account and forward it?

Do not do it. Receiving and forwarding other people's money is a common way for fraudsters to move stolen funds, and the account holder can end up in a police investigation. No genuine job needs you to move money through your own bank account or to buy gift cards for the employer.

Is it safe to attend an interview at an address I do not know?

Look the address up, tell someone where you are going, meet in an office with other staff present, and leave if anything feels wrong. Be wary of interviews at homes or in places with no company signboard. For first meetings, a video call is a fair request.

Pay, PF, gratuity and your rights

CTC, in-hand salary, provident fund, gratuity and the new labour codes.

What is the difference between CTC and in-hand salary?

CTC (cost to company) is the total a company spends on you in a year. It includes your salary and also employer contributions and benefits. In-hand salary is what reaches your bank each month after deductions such as the employee's PF and income tax. Because of this, the in-hand amount is always lower than CTC divided by twelve. Ask for the full breakup, including basic pay, allowances, variable pay and the employer's PF, before you accept an offer.

How much PF is deducted, and what does the employer add?

Under the Employees' Provident Fund system the standard rate is 12% of basic wages (including dearness allowance) from the employee and an equal 12% from the employer. Of the employer's share, 8.33% goes to the Employees' Pension Scheme and 3.67% to your EPF account. Your own 12% goes fully to your EPF account.

Has the EPF wage ceiling changed in 2026?

Yes. The Union Cabinet raised the wage ceiling for mandatory EPF coverage from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 a month, effective 17 September 2026, the first change in nearly 12 years. The government expects about 51 lakh more employees to come under mandatory coverage. The announcement does not say whether the 12% rates change, so check your payslip and ask your HR team how it applies to you.

When am I entitled to gratuity?

For permanent employees the rule of five years of continuous service with the same employer continues. For fixed-term employees, gratuity is paid pro rata after one year of continuous service under the Code on Social Security, and a fixed-term contract shorter than one year does not attract gratuity. The five-year condition is waived on death or disablement. The Ministry of Labour has said that old rules continue until new rules are notified, so ask your HR team which applies to you.

How is gratuity calculated, and is there a maximum?

For a monthly-paid employee, gratuity is last drawn wages × 15 × completed years of service ÷ 26, where wages mean basic pay plus dearness allowance (and retaining allowance, if any). A period of more than six months in the last year is counted as a full year. The maximum is currently ₹20 lakh, as notified by the Central Government, and the government can change it.

What changed for workers when the four labour codes came into force?

The four labour codes came into effect on 21 November 2025. For workers, the government lists a statutory right to minimum wages, timely payment of wages, appointment letters for all employees, annual health check-ups, social security cover that extends to gig and platform workers, and permission for women to work in all kinds of establishments and at night with their consent and safety measures. Many details depend on rules the government is still finalising.

Is an employer required to give me an appointment letter?

The government's summary of the labour codes lists the issuance of appointment letters to all employees. An appointment letter is different from an offer letter: it confirms your role, pay and terms, and it is your proof of employment. Keep a copy and read it before you resign from a current job.

What are a notice period and a probation period?

A notice period is the time you keep working after you resign, as set in your contract; it can often be shortened if both sides agree. Probation is a first period, often three to six months, in which the employer decides whether to confirm you. The length of both comes from your appointment letter or company policy, so read these terms before you accept an offer. See the glossary for more plain-language definitions.

Hiring glossary

Is a stipend the same as a salary?

No. A stipend is the monthly amount paid to an intern, usually while learning. An internship is meant to teach you real skills, so ask about the stipend, the duration, the tasks and whether it can lead to a job before you accept. Do not pay a fee to get an internship.

Freshers, interns and career changers

How to start, what to put on a resume and where to find free help.

How do I find my first job with no experience?

Use the Freshers welcome filter, apply to internships and entry-level roles, and show proof of skills instead of years: a small project, a portfolio, a certificate you earned or a task you completed. Write a two-line summary at the top of your resume and keep it to one page. Apply to many openings, customise three lines for each, and reply quickly when someone writes back.

Freshers welcome jobs

What should a good resume in India include?

A one-page resume with a clear two-line summary, your strongest result in each role, action verbs, the keywords from the job description where they are true, a working phone number and professional email, and links that open. Save it as a PDF named with your name. You do not need a photo, date of birth or marital status.

Is there a free government job portal I can also use?

Yes. The National Career Service (NCS) portal at ncs.gov.in is run by the Ministry of Labour and Employment. It connects job seekers, employers, career counsellors and training providers, and its services are free to the people who use it. It also lists skill courses, apprenticeships and internships. Use it alongside RegisCareers.

I want to change fields. How should I apply?

Lead with the skills that carry over, such as communication, Excel, customer handling or compliance knowledge, and put a short note on why you are changing. Apply to roles that list those skills as must-haves, and look at internships or contract work to build recent proof. Read the must-have and good-to-have lists carefully: you can apply if you meet the must-haves.

How should I prepare for an interview?

Read the job description twice, learn what the company does, prepare two stories about work you did and what happened, and write three questions to ask them. Test your video link and charger the day before. Ask when you will hear back, and send a short thank-you message.

Hiring on RegisCareers

Posting an opening, getting verified and writing a job description people trust.

How do I post an opening on RegisCareers?

Create a company account, confirm your email, complete your company profile, then choose Post an opening. Use the job description builder, which follows the standard used by well-run companies: what the role is for, what the person will do, must-have and good-to-have skills, pay, what you offer and how you hire. Openings from verified companies go live straight away; openings from companies that are not yet verified are held for the hiring desk to review first.

What makes a job description good?

A good job description names the role and its purpose in the first lines, lists responsibilities as clear bullets, separates must-have from good-to-have skills, shows pay or a pay range, says what you offer, and explains each hiring step with timing. Candidates apply more when they can see the pay and the process, and fewer unsuitable people apply when the must-haves are honest.

Job description library

Why are employers expected to reply to every applicant?

Most job seekers never hear back, which wastes their time and hurts your employer brand. RegisCareers shows each company's reply rate so candidates can see who answers. A short, honest reply, even a no, keeps your reply badge high and your future applicants coming.

Should I show the pay in the opening?

We recommend it. Openings that show a pay range get more relevant applications and fewer wasted calls. You can show a range and a period (per month or per year), and the job board has a Pay shown filter that job seekers use.

Can I search for candidates directly?

Verified companies can browse public Offers from people who have chosen to share what they can do, and write to them directly. This is a good way to find freelancers, interns and people changing roles.

Will AI take my job, or create new ones?

The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 forecasts 170 million new jobs created and 92 million displaced by 2030, a net gain of 78 million. The forecast is based on a survey of over 1,000 employers in 55 economies, so it shows a direction rather than a promise. The practical advice is to learn skills that work alongside AI and to keep learning.
